UMN Undergraduate Anthropology Conference

This past February the UMN Anthropology Club hosted the 45th Annual Undergraduate Anthropology Conference on The Anthropology of Food. Our lab members were also part of the fun! Undergraduate student Margaret Hassler presented on her capstone research investigating ancient DNA preservation across different skeletal elements in degraded remains. Emma Ulrich was awarded the Department of Anthropology’s Best Paper in Biological Anthropology Prize for her capstone research paper “Identity and European Ancestry in a Population of Afro-Puerto Ricans”. These works are part of our laboratory’s ongoing reserach projects. Great job Maggie and Emma!
